Program Overview
Established in 2015 by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, IBD Qorus applies the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Breakthrough Series (BTS) collaborative model and a Learning Health System (LHS) approach to engage in a multicenter national improvement collaborative for adult IBD care. Recent Qorus collaborative efforts have focused on reducing unnecessary urgent care utilization and Treat-to-Target— a treatment strategy that aligns a remission-based therapeutic goal with the patient’s personal goals for quality of life.
IBD Qorus is directed by a leadership team at the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, and guided by Dr. Oliver, who serves as the IBD Qorus national improvement advisor and methodologist. Under Dr. Oliver’s direction, a team from the Dartmouth Institute Coproduction Collaboratory has developed a quality improvement curriculum and provides improvement coaching support for the collaborative.
