Journal Article Discussions
The scholars host several journal article discussions over the course of the year, which are open to all students and faculty. The goal of these meetings is to engage the school in an ongoing conversation regarding how we can best serve our urban communities and the underserved urban populations in particular. The articles are chosen by the scholars and cover a range of topics. Examples of recent journal article discussion topics include:
- Gun Violence and Prevention
- Medical-Legal Partnerships
- Barriers to Asthma Care in Urban Pediatric Populations
- Collaborations with the Community Development Sector
These journal article discussions are just one way in which the scholars are working to increase awareness of urban issues and health disparities among their peers and the Geisel community at large.
