Tess Griffin, PhD, M.Ed

Research Project Manager

Tess is a Research Project Manager working with Dr. Jacob Borodovsky, with a primary focus on cannabis regulatory science. She holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, with a focus on Epidemiology, and an M.Ed. in Learning, Media, and Technology. Tess has more than 17 years of experience supporting research and innovation in higher education, including nearly six years at Dartmouth’s Center for Technology and Behavioral Health.

Most recently, Tess served as Research Project Director for Evergreen, a Dartmouth initiative focused on developing and evaluating an AI-powered app that uses passive sensing data to deliver evidence-based, just-in-time wellness interventions to support student flourishing. She also has experience in educational technology research, including work with the MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research and the Concord Consortium, where she developed and evaluated technology-based STEM programs informed by the needs and experiences of students and teachers.

Tess has led research projects from study design through implementation and evaluation and is passionate about bringing together her experience and interests in public health, education, and technology to improve people’s lives. She looks forward to continuing this work with the Borodovsky Lab and TDI community.
