Naomi Adjei, PhD, MA

Research Project Coordinator
Naomi joined TDI as a Research Project Coordinator in the Resident Equity and Community (REACH) Lab led by Dr. Terri Lewinson. She holds a PhD in Gerontology and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As part of her doctoral research, Naomi explored stress and social functioning in older adult caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD). She also worked as a graduate assistant, investigating the brain networks that support adaptive social cognitive processes in healthy aging and gaining exposure to diverse cognitive neuroscience techniques. In addition to her academic work, Naomi is also a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner with over 10 years of experience working in the field to improve health equity. Her current role at the REACH Lab involves assisting in developing grants, conducting mixed-methods research, and authoring scientific papers focused on promoting equitable access to quality housing and healthcare to support resident and community wellness across the life course while ensuring that project milestones are achieved and deliverables are met.
