Melissa Franco-Galicia, PhD

Melissa Franco-Galicia is a Guarini Dean’s Fellow at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice. She holds a PhD in Health Policy from Stanford University. She is a health policy and health services researcher specializing in prevention, public health, and population health. She is a trained decision scientist who develops computational models for health systems to inform equitable, evidence-driven policymaking in settings where resources must be allocated judiciously due to competing priorities. Her current research focuses on improving health outcomes in the US and Mexico by developing a cancer modeling framework that accounts for real-world constraints.

Melissa is an outdoor enthusiast and a dog mom to a lovable pup named Atlas. She enjoys trying new activities and sports and often takes spontaneous road trips when she's not hiking or snowboarding.
