Alicia L. Battle, PhD, MCHES, MS

Dr. Alicia L. Battle is Assistant Dean for Public Health Programs and Assistant Professor at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. A Master Certified Health Education Specialist with nearly 30 years of experience, she is a nationally recognized public health educator, academic leader, and practitioner committed to advancing health equity, student success, and inclusive excellence. Dr. Battle has held faculty and leadership roles at Tulane, Howard, Benedictine, and Governors State Universities, directing accredited graduate programs and developing innovative curricula in public health leadership, equity, and community engagement. Her scholarship and presentations—spanning emotional intelligence, workforce development, and culturally responsive education—have been featured at national and international forums. She also directs the New Hampshire Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Program Office and serves as Administrative Director for Community Public Health Partnerships, leading initiatives that bridge academia with community-based practice.
