QBS MS track : Health Data Science

My research interests are: My prior research experience has been developing CRISPR systems as a way to develop therapeutics against HIV and Hepatitis B viruses. I am interested in expanding my prior experience off the bench top and onto a command prompt. At Dartmouth, my research with the Levy Lab is in assessing CRISPR off-targets or unintentional gene editing to the human genome. My goal is to help develop a novel computational technique to generate off-target libraries that can be used in a Next Generation Sequencing workflow to accurately quantify off-targets in a low-cost and efficient manner

Career track: Both Industry and Academia

My career goals are:

I chose QBS because: I wanted to broaden my skill set instead of over-specializing in one discipline. Even though I am primarily interested in bioinformatics, in the QBS Program I'm gaining skills in biostastics, epidemiology and data science.

Recreational Interests: Hiking, snowboarding, woodworking, gardening, petting cats
