Lily Taub

Hometown: North Bennington, Vermont

Undergraduate institution: Middlebury College

Undergraduate major: Computer Science

QBS MS track : Health Data Science

Other professional information: I spent the past four years as a Support Engineer at a healthcare technology company that developed a high performing database platform. I worked with system administrators, security architects, and operational database developers on maintaining high availability, data integrity, and performance on systems responsible for terabytes of patient data.

Career track: Both Industry and Academia

I chose QBS because: My professional experience has made me interested in the problem of big data organization and utilization within the healthcare technology space. This interest is what compelled me to look for opportunities like QBS. The ability to focus specifically on health data science and the coursework that approaches the topic from different lenses are what made me chose the Quantitative Biomedical Sciences program.

Recreational Interests: I love being outside in all seasons; biking on roads and trails, skiing in the backcountry, or hiking through the Whites are some of my favorite ways to unplug and relax.
