My career goals are: I hope to work in the intersection between healthcare and data science at either a hospital or other health-related companies. I am also interested in work exploring the relationship between the healthcare and environmental industries as I feel like they have many similarities and projects in environmental health policy can have a major impact on communities and the world.
I chose QBS because: I wanted to learn more data science skills and also get exposure to the healthcare field as I had no prior background in the area. I specifically wanted to gain knowledge and skills in machine learning as ML is an important part of what I hope to use in the future. We also have the ability to take classes in other programs and schools, allowing for a more interdisciplinary style of learning that gives me the freedom to grow in other areas and build my toolbox in multiple domains.
