Research
Our research is focused on identifying the molecular mechanisms that regulate macrophage activation in autoimmunity and cancer, and how macrophage activation can be redirected for therapeutic benefit. We study the role that macrophages play in the induction and progression of the autoimmune disease systemic sclerosis (SSc) and cancer using both primary human cells and mouse models of SSc and breast cancer.
