The National Academies’ Action Collaborative on Transforming Trajectories for Women of Color in Tech is now accepting applications through the end of June 2024 for organizations to join the membership. Interested organizations will be able to join 34 other institutions from across the tech ecosystem that have committed to take collective action, guided by the findings and recommendations put forth by the 2022 National Academies consensus report, Transforming Trajectories for Women of Color in Tech.

Sponsoring members commit to the sharing, developing, and implementing of evidence-based policies and practices that broaden the engagement and participation of women of color in tech. As members of the Action Collaborative, institutions have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in regular meetings and activities that facilitate collaboration;
  • Contribute to the collection and sharing of promising, evidence-based practices;
  • Communicate strategies and resources with the public; and
  • Build cross-sector partnerships that promote systemic coordination in supporting women of color in tech.

Together, members of the Action Collaborative strive to take an intersectional approach in improving recruitment, retention, and advancement efforts of women of color across the tech ecosystem.
