Dear Colleague,
I’d like to personally invite you to the inaugural Compassion in Medical Education (C-MEd) Forum on July 8 – 9, 2024, hosted by UC San Diego’s Sanford Institute for Empathy and Compassion. This much-anticipated, two-day event offers a unique opportunity for schools of medicine and teaching hospitals to learn about the Sanford Institute’s innovative empathy and compassion programming and curricula directly from our experts, and helps attendees transform learning at their respective institutions.
What C-MEd attendees can expect:
- Enjoy presentations and panel discussions from UC San Diego experts in empathy and compassion in medical education and healthcare;
- Learn about novel empathy and compassion programs developed at the Sanford Institute, aimed at learners from pre-med to practicing clinicians;
- Hear evaluation results, testimonials of transformation, and how empathy and compassion offerings have been integrated systematically within UC San Diego’s School of Medicine;
- Choose to attend a bonus pre-event workshop, facilitated by Compassion Institute, to develop practical skills in empathy and compassion; and,
- Unite and network with educators, leaders, and health practitioners in the pursuit of enhanced compassion and well-being in medical education and healthcare.
