Who Should Apply?
This seminar is designed for women physicians and scientists with an appointment at an AAMC member school of medicine, with a minimum of two years of experience (July 2022) as an Assistant Professor. We recognize every faculty member’s career progresses at a different pace, so we say, generally, this seminar is designed for women faculty who have held an academic appointment at a school of medicine for eight years or less. Because of the content focus, applicants’ CVs must include or highlight activities demonstrating progress towards academic promotion and engagement in leadership roles.

Due to the content focus, applicants’ CVs must highlight activities demonstrating progress towards academic promotion and engagement in leadership roles. Examples of these activities will vary depending on the individual’s career path. Examples of progress towards promotion may include publications or other scholarly works, grant awards, teaching, or clinical activities. Examples of leadership roles may include formal and informal leadership roles such as leading a lab group, membership in or chairing an institutional or national committee, course director, director of a fellowship program or clinic, etc.

Due to high demand, and limited capacity, we are unable to accept anyone outside of this target audience. Application will close by March 12, 2024 at 11:59 ET.
