As a leader in academic medicine with responsibility for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, your institution relies on you to lead, implement, and evaluate initiatives that drive DEI as core components of excellence in health care.
Since 2013, The AAMC Healthcare Executive Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program (HEDIC) has prepared more than 100 faculty and staff from more than 50 AAMC member institutions and allied health associations to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at their institutions by helping them develop essential leadership competencies.
As a participant in this six-month program, you will:
- Link diversity, equity, and inclusion directly to measurable goals of excellence at your institution
- Learn to develop an organizational infrastructure focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues
- Learn to collaborate with various leaders across all levels of your institution to achieve diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Apply current research to the creation and execution of your institution’s strategic plan for diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Develop a project plan designed to drive excellence specifically tailored to your institution
- Develop an invaluable network of peers and leaders who are facing similar challenges, and more
Who Should Attend?
Chief diversity officers and other leaders in academic medicine with responsibility for diversity, equity, and inclusion programs at AAMC member medical schools and teaching hospitals as well as allied health associations.
