We are pleased to announce that in Spring 2023 we are presenting the Academy for Holistic Reimagining of the Recruitment, Retention, and Mentoring of Racially Minoritized Faculty. The Academy will take place virtually (via Zoom and Canvas) from noon to 5:00 pm eastern time on Jan. 27, Feb. 3, Feb. 17, and March 3 (with an additional optional session on April 28). The Academy for Holistic Reimagining of the Recruitment, Retention, and Mentoring of Racially Minoritized Faculty is designed for leaders in a variety of roles such as deans, associate deans for faculty, department chairs, associate provosts for faculty development, faculty directors of mentoring programs, and for diversity, equity, and inclusion officers who want to be strategic and thoughtful in leading anti-racist transformational change at their institutions. The Academy provides time with faculty experts and peers to gain perspective on the recruitment, mentoring, and retention practices that do (and do not) create community and meaningful engagement for faculty of color. It is designed to reorient prevailing perspectives on faculty success away from dehumanizing ‘pipeline’ and ‘productivity’ models to approaches grounded in community, relationship, solidarity, and well-being.
After reviewing the program on our website (which includes pricing information on the Details tab), if you would like to nominate someone else, or yourself, please fill out the Nomination Form at this link: https://forms.office.com/r/TEH58QpU98. Nominations will be reviewed, and acceptance decisions communicated, on a rolling basis until the program has been filled. All nominations received by January 6, 2023 are assured full consideration. An acceptance notice and registration information will be sent directly to those nominees accepted into the program.
We are also pleased to announce that CSHE’s Academy for Anti-Racist Leadership will take place June 5-8, 2023 and the Academic Leadership Academy June 12-15, 2023; we’ll be in touch when we begin accepting nominations in January.
