Dr. Howe received a pilot grant from the COBRE Center for Molecular Epidemiology to characterize extracellular vesicle (EV) miRNA levels in maternal circulation during pregnancy and in human milk postpartum. One aim of this project was to investigate the contributions of maternal EV miRNAs during both the prenatal and postnatal periods to early childhood growth. In this presentation, Dr. Howe describes preliminary results from this aim.
