Soubhik was born in Kolkata, India where he earned his Ph.D. in Immunology from Department of Zoology, University of Calcutta. His Ph.D. work was focused on T cell Immunology (Th-9, Th-17, Treg) in Malaria infection.
He moved to the United States and joined Jakubzick Lab at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine just after his Ph.D. His main research project is focused on the role of lung interstitial macrophage and recruited macrophage in melanoma and adenocarcinoma. Beside that he also participates in the project focused on the importance of natural antibodies for immune activation against neoantigen.
Outside research Soubhik loves to travel to new places, enjoys cooking and cycling through the beautiful roads of Hanover enjoying the greenery. He is a nature and animal lover. He adores the charming fall and spring of Upper valley, as well as the snowy winter.
