Saeed Hassanpour, Associate Professor of Biomedical Data Science and Project Leader for the Center of Molecular Epidemiology has received an R01, "Clinicopathologic and Genetic Profiling through Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing for Precision Lung Cancer Management." The overall goal of this project is to build novel computational methods to discern the relationships between non-small cell lung cancer, somatic mutations, and drug resistance in targeted therapies via analyzing electronic medical records and pathology reports.
