Alice Andrews, PhD, is Senior Research Scientist and Senior Lecturer at The Dartmouth Institute (TDI). She returned to Dartmouth in 2023 from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was Director of Education at the Value Institute for Health and Care and faculty at Dell Medical School and McCombs School of Business. Dr. Andrews has taught graduate and executive programs worldwide on a range of topics including high-value health care and leadership, shared decision-making, survey research methods, and experiential learning. She received a Dell Medical School Academy of Distinguished Educators Excellence in Teaching award in 2019 and 2021. Prior to her work in Texas, Alice spent 10+ years at Dartmouth involved in health care education and research.

Dr. Andrews’ research focuses on the implementation of health care solutions designed around outcomes that matter to patients and that support the professionalism of the health care workforce. In addition to research and teaching, Dr. Andrews is an advisory board member for the Welsh Value in Health Centre (NHS-UK), juror for the Value-Based Health Care Prize offered by the Value-Based Health Care Center Europe in the Netherlands, and she served as expert witness for the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System (Australia) in 2020. Dr. Andrews holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior from Cornell University, and an MS from TDI.
