Brenda Miao

I am a member of the class of 2019 at Dartmouth College, majoring in biology and computer science. I previously worked as a research intern in Dr. Li Lin’s lab at the NIH, studying the use of soluble RAGE as a potential therapeutic for the treatment of sepsis-induced lung injuries. In 2017, I joined Dr. William Rigby's lab in the department of Immunology and Microbiology. I will be working on projects investigating neutrophil extracellular trap (NET) formation and its relationship to carbamylated proteins, which are targets of autoantibodies often found in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
