Daniela Molina Palacios, a native from Valencia, Venezuela, began her medical studies at the Universidad de Carabobo. In 2016, she moved to the U.S. for better educational opportunities and graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2020 with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During her undergraduate years, she conducted impactful research on vector-borne diseases and became passionate about educational outreach, working with Girls Inc. to empower underprivileged girls in STEM fields. During her time at the University of Massachusetts, Daniela received the prestigious 21st Century Leader Award. After graduation, she worked as a neurobiology lab technician at MIT and served as an English tutor for MIT service employees.
In 2022, Daniela joined the MD-PhD program at Dartmouth College. She is currently a doctoral student researching chronic pain. Daniela leads community service projects like Project Salud, where she organizes mobile clinics for Latino migrant farm workers, and has further developed an AI tool for medical Spanish training. She co-founded the International Medical Student Association and holds leadership roles in the Latino Medical Student organization, supporting and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.
Daniela's dedication to science, medicine, and community service is evident in her numerous accomplishments and ongoing projects. She is excited to continue her journey at Dartmouth, making a positive impact on the lives of others.
