Hannah Madrigal ’28

Hannah is from Nashville, TN and is majoring in Biochemical Engineering here at Dartmouth. She has always been interested in the prospect of participating in research work so when she heard about the WISP program she was immediately interested in participating. While applying for WISP positions, the NH Birth Cohort WIPS position caught her attention. She is interested in the intersection of health and the environment, so this lab was perfectly attuned to her interests.
Asked what she has learned while working as a WISP intern, Hannah states: “I learned so much about the processes that go on behind the scenes of a study. I do not think I ever processed that all the components of a lab study had to be made by the lab itself. It was interesting to see how much passion those at NHBC have for this study, as evidenced by the countless hours of work they put in. I am delighted to be a part of this study and contribute to the impactful research being conducted.”
