Professional Interests: Professor Peacock is a biostatistician whose main research interests are in the use and extensions of statistical methods in epidemiological studies, and the communication of biostatistics to non-statisticians. Her clinical research includes paediatric studies, particularly in preterm birth and cancer. Her methodological interests are in making outcomes clinically meaningful and accessible to non-statisticians. She contributes to UK national policy work for Department of Health (review of plain packaging for cigarettes) and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE; evaluation of medical devices and development of clinical guidance), and jointly leads a national group for biostatisticians in funded translational research.
