RFA / Cryoablation
- Ancef 1 gram IV prior
- No scan while in house
- Outpatient:
- Discharge follow up with Onc, GI or GU and IR with follow up imaging in 2 months
Chemo Embolization (TACE)
- Labs daily
- CT scan WITHOUT contrast on PPD#1
- Dexamethasone 10 mg po / IV for 3 days
- Outpatient:
- ? labs - check with MD
- Scan in 1 month with follow up appointment with Onc, Gi, IR
TIPS
- Unasyn 1.5-3 grams IV prior
- No scan while in house
- Outpatient:
- US at 2 weeks, 3 months and 6 months
UAE
- Start Doxycycline 100 mg BID for 5 days (will need to complete as an outpatient)
- Outpatient:
- Clinic appointment vs. phone call in one month
PTX
- Chest tube to LWS~20 cm H20
- CXR to show re-expansion
- Once no air leak and re-expansion on CXR patient may go to water seal
- Repeat CXR in 2-4 hours
- Outpatient:
- No follow up with IR
Coiling / Stenting
- Heparin Orders
- ? when to stop heparin
- ? when to pull sheath
- Coiling patients ONLY get MRA aneurysm protocol PPD#1
- Outpatient / Discharge
- See attending in 3 weeks
- MRA@ 3 months, ? angiogram 1-3 years
