Kelli Pointer MD, PhD

Principle Investigator
Dr. Pointer grew up in the Chicagoland area and received her B.S from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After finishing her undergraduate training, she joined the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where she completed both PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology and her MD. She worked in the lab of Dr. John Kuo studying novel biomarkers for glioblastoma. She went on to complete her residency training at the University of Chicago in Radiation Oncology as a Holman Pathway research resident where her interest in how radiation resistance impacts cancer outcomes continued to expand. She joined Dartmouth as an Assistant Professor at the end of 2022 and her lab focuses on overcoming radiation resistance in brain tumors and cancer. Dr. Pointer also treats CNS patients as a Radiation Oncologist and specializes in patients with brain tumors. Outside of lab, she enjoys spending time with her twin daughters, husband, and two dogs. She enjoys baking, kayaking, hiking, and movies.
