Leila Capel

Leila is a predoctoral psychology intern and is collaborating with Center for Technology and Behavioral Health. She completed her BA in psychology at Smith College and completed her M.S and further doctoral training at Utah State University. Leila’s research focuses on increasing access to individualized mental health services for adults with anxiety, OCD and related disorders (primarily focusing on trichotillomania and skin picking disorder) using a combination of digital and in person interventions. She has most recently developed two digital mental health interventions, one for individuals with trichotillomania and skin picking, the other for individuals with OCD. Her work focuses on methods for increasing the efficacy and feasibility of delivering evidence-based interventions as well as ensuring individualized care.
