Dr. Daniel Mackin, PhD

Dr. Daniel Mackin is a postdoctoral fellow at the Artificial Intelligence and Mental Health Lab at Dartmouth College in the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health. He completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Stony Brook University, where he worked with Dr. Dan Klein to examine the role of reward processing and reinforcement learning deficits in depressive disorders across development. During his clinical internship at Brown University, Dan worked with Dr. Mark Zimmerman to develop measures improving assessment and classification of depressive disorder subtypes. Dan is primarily interested in utilizing passive longitudinal data to predict temporal fluctuations in mood and anxiety symptoms, and to better understand the etiopathogenesis of depressive disorders. He is also interested in developing and delivering just-in-time adaptive interventions for depressive disorders.
