Sam Morton

Sam Morton is a computer science master's student interested in the applications of computational techniques and machine learning to the medical field. Sam was a computer science major as an undergrad at Dartmouth and graduated in 2021. In the past, Sam has worked on projects ranging from unsupervised behavior detection in diabetic blood glucose data to quantifying the carbon emissions embodied in the trade of entire nations. Within the Jacobson Lab, Sam has been working on a lightweight architecture for the estimation of heart rate from videos of human faces, to be deployed in the Mood Triggers app. Upon graduation, Sam plans on becoming a software engineer. Outside of work, Sam's interests include running, mountain biking, and politics, and in addition, Sam ran cross country and track for Dartmouth as an undergrad.
