Research Interests:
I use statistics to help clinical and health services researchers from a vast spectrum of disciplines and specialties; this has resulted in 250 publications. Recent areas of interest include chiropractic, colorectal cancer screening, inpatient monitoring, sarcopenia, and neurosurgery. In addition, I study the association of state and city government expenditures with longevity in the USA. The areas of statistics I am most interested in are survival (time-to-event) analysis, causal inference, and prediction.
