Dr. Weygand is the Director of Global Radiation Oncology at Dartmouth Health where he leads the global health efforts of Dartmouth's Department of Radiation and Applied Sciences. He has a long-standing interest in health equity and specifically aims to increase global access to radiological health sciences in the developing world through didactic education, clinical training, the clinical implementation of new technology, and studying the historical, political, and economic determinants of global health.

Dr. Weygand has gone on medical physics outreach missions in Tanzania, Senegal, Uganda, Ghana, Mongolia, Nigeria and Malawi. In Malawi, he led a team that helped establish the first public radiotherapy center in the nation. He has also contributed to outreach and educational initiatives in Ukraine, Türkiye, Guyana, Kenya, Mali, and Niger.

He serves as the Program Manager of Radiation Oncology Physics for the philanthropic organization RAD-AID International.
