Dr. Caroline Walsh is the Senior Research Lead and Sustainable Imaging Lead at the Lichter GreenHealth Lab. Her work focuses on reducing the environmental impact of radiologic imaging by measuring energy use and modeling greener imaging practices. Collaborating with industry partners and radiology departments nationally, she works to make imaging more efficient, equitable, and sustainable by integrating life cycle assessment and cost-effectiveness methods into imaging system design and clinical decision-making.

Current projects include leading the RSNA-funded SUSTAIN initiative, contributing to the CARE-Path study, co-leading a qualitative study on cancer survivors’ perspectives on sustainability in cancer care, and providing mentorship and oversight across multiple lab initiatives.
