Dr. Alyssa Asaro is the Lead for Sustainable Radiation Oncology Innovation at the Lichter GreenHealth Lab. Her research centers on quantifying and reducing the environmental impact of radiation therapy delivery by integrating life cycle assessment and cost-effectiveness approaches to align quality, equity, and sustainability in cancer care.

Current projects include conducting energy audits of radiation therapy modalities to characterize the environmental footprint of radiation oncology operations, evaluating mitigation strategies such as hypofractionation, and developing sustainability toolkits and implementation frameworks for radiation oncology departments, cancer pathways, and clinical research operations.
