Dr Kapadia is an Associate Professor of Medicine and practicing radiation oncologist at the Dartmouth Cancer Center. He and his collaborators are interested in the delivery, innovation, and variation of health care and radiation oncology care in the United States. His focus is upon integrating health services research methods, statistical and financial analysis, provider communication, quality improvement approaches and management skills to improve the value of health care delivery. His primary research interests at Dartmouth include variation and value based cancer care, and he serves as co-investigator on a variety of studies aimed at understanding financial toxicity effects on patients, bundled payment systems on cancer care, the use of Medicare claims data to understand variation in treatment cost, quality and outcomes, provider network analyses, and methods at improving communication between patients and their providers.
