The Practice: Diverse Pathways

Our panel discussion with alumni physicians in a variety of professional roles (as physicians in public health, private practice, clinical administration and hospitalist service) was peppered with valuable comments, sound advice, and personal stories that illustrated each doctors career path. Our panelists gave the audience of gathered students and faculty a glimpse of different positions physicians may pursue, the skill sets needed(such as managerial and leadership skills), and the settings in which they work. Each alumni displayed that no matter the position they are in, there is always room for creativities, continuous learning and experimentation.
