Important Policies Regarding Registration For Phase 2 and Phase 3 Courses
Phase 2 and Phase 3 Clerkships
Registration for clerkships is completed through a Lottery on OASIS. Requests for changes to a clerkship must be submitted to the clerkship coordinator via email and approved by both the Office of Clinical Education and the involved clerkship(s). If approved, changes are made to your schedule by the Geisel Registrar's Office.
Electives and Sub-Internships
Timely registration for electives and sub-internships, both away and at Geisel, is required. It is your responsibility to check your schedule on OASIS regularly. If you do not see an approved elective/sub-internship on your OASIS schedule, you are NOT officially registered for the course.
Students are expected to request courses at least 4 weeks prior to the start date, with approval and registration completed on OASIS before the start date.
All non-established electives and sub-internships must be approved by the Associate Dean for Clinical Education and registered with the Geisel Registrar's Office prior to the start date.
To obtain approval, submit the Non-Established Elective / Sub-I Application a minimum of four weeks prior to the start of the rotation. If you are NOT registered on OASIS, you will not be covered by liability insurance, and if there is an emergency, the Geisel School of Medicine will not be able to locate you. Timely and complete registration for your rotations reflects on your professionalism as a medical student.
