By Automobile

From the Boston area (about 2.5 hours):

Take I-93 north to I-89 north at Concord, NH. Get off I-89 at Exit 18 in Lebanon, NH onto Route 120. (A sign says that it is the exit for Dartmouth College.) Bear right off the exit, heading north on Rt.120 into Hanover. 4.1 miles from the exit, Rt. 120 forks at a traffic light. Follow Route 10 through one more traffic lights and turn left onto East Wheelock St. (second light). Proceed one block and you will be at the college with the Green on your right and the Hopkins Center on your left.

From Manchester, NH (about 1.5 hours):

From Manchester, NH take I-93 north to I-89 north as above.

From New York City (about 5 hours), southern New England and points south:

From New York take I-95 north to I-684 north and I-84 east to Hartford, Connecticut, then I-91 north to Vermont Exit 13 (Norwich-Hanover). Bear right off the exit and cross the Connecticut River, then follow Wheelock Street approximately one-half mile into Hanover. You will now be at the college with the Green on your left and the Hanover Inn on your right.

From Burlington, VT (about 1.5 hours):

Take I-89 south to I-91 north in White River Junction, VT as above.

From the Montreal area (about 3 hours):

From Montreal take I-89 south to I-91 north to Vermont Exit 13 as above.

By Airplane

Manchester Airport (New Hampshire, USA) is strategically located in the heart of New England, adjacent to Interstates 93 & 293. Manchester Airport is just an hour and half from Hanover, NH.

Lebanon (N.H.) Municipal Airport, 10 miles from the Dartmouth campus, is served by several daily flights from New York (LaGuardia), Boston (Logan) and Philadelphia International airports. Consult your travel agent for connection information. Manchester, N.H., Airport is 90 minutes south, with bus service to Hanover from Manchester.

Burlington International Airport, is located 3 miles east of Burlington, VT and is just under 2 hours by automobile to Hanover, NH.

By Train

Amtrak's "Vermonter" service from Washington and New York arrives daily in nearby White River Junction, Vt. Consult your nearest Amtrak agent for information.

By Bus

Vermont Transit (802-295-3011) has several buses from various points arriving daily in White River Junction, Vt., with connections to the Dartmouth campus. Call for information. Dartmouth Coach (603-448-2800) offers daily service between the Dartmouth campus and Boston's South Station and Logan Airport and occasional service between Dartmouth and the Manchester, N.H., airport.
