About Us
The Emergency Medicine Interest Group at Geisel is a student-run organization committed to facilitating the intellectual, social, and experiential growth of medical students interested in Emergency Medicine. We hope to serve as the starting point for career exploration in this dynamic and exciting field through practical skills workshops, clinical shadowing experiences, and presentations by practicing emergency physicians during the preclinical years. As a resource for information about research, residency training, and career options, we hope to engender a sense of excitement about the diverse and challenging work of Emergency Physicians. And most importantly, we aim to capitalize on the robust advising and collaborative culture at Geisel to foster a supportive community of acute-care-minded professionals that will prepare us to approach our future medical endeavors with ingenuity, sophistication, empathy, and aplomb.
