Dismas House

Dismas House is a Schweitzer Fellowship Project that aims to provide support and advocacy for individuals transitioning back into the community after incarceration. In addition, it seeks to raise awareness of the several social and environmental factors that affect the mental health of this underserved population. A group of medical students visit this halfway house in Hartford, VT 1-2 times a month and cook dinner for its residents. Future goals include organizing workshops that address stress-relief and healthy eating.
