Alexys Gayne<\/h3>\n

Hi everyone! My name is Alexys Gayne and I am a 4th year student in the MD\/PhD Program, starting my second year of cancer biology research after finishing the preclinical curriculum! I grew up in Northern New York and graduated from the University of Rochester in 2023 as a Neuroscience and Psychology double major. While in undergrad, I volunteered with the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) as an EMT on campus, conducted research in neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation, worked in the Emergency Department as a Research Associate and coached and played club softball. Since coming to Geisel, I have been a Medical Education Committee (MEC) Representative for the past 3 years. I also am part of the Rural Health Scholars group and have been a co-leader of the Medical Education Scholars and the Pediatrics Interest Group. I was a Trips Director and Leader for First-Year trips and enjoyed welcoming new students to the Upper Valley and Geisel communities. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running, skiing, swimming, kayaking, baking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.<\/p>\n

Andre Armero<\/h3>\n

My name is Andre Armero and I am a 4th year student in the MD-PhD program. I\u2019m currently entering my second year into my PhD where I'm excited to continue conducting research on possible therapeutics for cutaneous lupus erythematosus! In my free time, I enjoy running, playing video games, trying new cafes or restaurants, and reading. I look forward to continuing to work with student government to provide the unique MD-PhD perspective throughout the broader Geisel community!<\/span><\/p>\n

Haille Soderholm<\/h3>\n

Hi! I\u2019m Haille and I started at Geisel way back in 2020. I\u2019m finally on my way to graduation with the class of 2029. I\u2019m finishing up my PhD thesis in 2026 and then I will be headed back to clinical with all of you M3s in March, so take it easy on me because it\u2019s been a while since I\u2019ve held a stethoscope! When not in the lab or in the hospital, you can find me outside. In the winter, I love snowboarding, split-boarding, and romping around with my pack of large dogs, and in the summer I can be found out on the trail mountain biking, dirt biking, golfing or fishing. Long way of saying I have too many hobbies and not enough time. <\/span><\/p>\n

Hi everyone, I\u2019m Joy and part of the Class of 2028 as I pursue the MD\/MBA dual degree. I\u2019m from Wellesley, MA and I studied Biology and Human-Centered Design at Dartmouth (D\u201923!). Before coming to Geisel, I spent time working on projects at the intersection of design, technology, and healthcare, which sparked my interest in improving patient experience and healthcare systems. At Geisel, I\u2019ve been involved in student wellness as well as initiatives focused on quality improvement, innovation\/product design, community outreach, and digital health literacy. I\u2019m especially passionate about finding ways to make care more patient-centered while also supporting provider wellbeing. Outside of school, you can find me outdoors enjoying New England seasons, skiing, making music, or with family and friends. Always feel free to reach out\u2014I\u2019d love to connect!<\/p>\n

Hi everyone! I\u2019m Liah D\u2019sa, one of your MD-MBA representatives. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated from Santa Clara University in 2015. Before starting medical school, I worked in the nonprofit sector, healthcare quality improvement, and spent time as a 4th grade teacher. I\u2019m starting my full-time MBA year in August, and I am excited to bring the dual-degree perspective to student government alongside my co-representative, Frida. I\u2019m passionate about integrating clinical care with systems-level thinking to improve healthcare delivery and equity. Outside of school, you can find me trying new NYT recipes, adding far too many books to my Goodreads list, and hosting potlucks with friends.
