Hi everyone, my name is Vincent Busque, and I am so excited to serve as your student body president this year. I'm a fourth year applying into internal medicine as part of the class of 2026. I was born in Montreal, Canada, but I grew up in the Bay Area, California. I received a degree in Human Biology from Stanford University in 2020, and spent a couple years coaching swimming and conducting research in exercise and nutrition science before starting medical school. At Geisel, I've served as a class representative for the class of 2026 and was one of your co-chairs of Wellness last year. I am really passionate about how we can grow a culture of compassion within our Geisel community and with our patients and colleagues at the hospital. Outside of school, you can find me enjoying all the Upper Valley has to offer including grabbing Taj-E takeout (the vegetable samosas are my favorite \ud83d\ude0b), playing pickup basketball, skiing (downhill and cross-country), cycling with a maple creemee stop, or bringing friends together over a home-cooked meal. I grew up near Princeton, NJ and studied History of Science and Medicine at Princeton, where I was a varsity swimmer and jazz saxophonist. Before med school, I bartended, gigged with my band, and completed a post-bac at Columbia while working in research at Penn Medicine and HSS. Outside of school, I love cooking (especially Italian), snowboarding, making music, and tracking down the best local swim spots\u2014happy to share recs. I grew up in Nigeria, Texas, and New York City and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017. I taught high school chemistry in Hartford, CT through Teach For America before starting medical school in 2020. My husband and I welcomed our beautiful baby girl in March 2024, and balancing motherhood and medicine has been an interesting and beautiful journey. I\u2019m passionate about global health, and I enjoy traveling, event planning and decorating, interior designing.<\/p>\n

Hi!! My name is Mairead Pfaff, and I am excited to be serving as your student body treasurer this year. I am currently completing the MBA year of my MD-MBA dual degree at Tuck, with plans to graduate with the class of 2027. I am planning to apply to residency in OBGYN. I grew up on Long Island, New York and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2021 as a Science-Business major with a Compassionate Care in Medicine minor. Before medical school, I worked at as a clinical research coordinator in pediatric nephrology. At Geisel, I have been a Medical Education Committee (MEC) representative for my class for the past 3 years. I am also involved with Geisel\u2019s chapter of KNN focused on flourishing in medicine. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, trying new restaurants, downhill skiing and spending time with family and friends. Hi, I\u2019m Alessandra and I am a proud member of the 2028 class. I'm so excited to be a Co-Chair of Professional Development. I\u2019m from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in upstate NY where I was a member of the Women\u2019s Soccer Team. After college, I moved to Nantucket, MA and worked as a live-in nanny for two years. Following that, I moved to Quechee, VT and began working as a research coordinator in the Department of Anesthesiology at DHMC. Living in the Upper Valley for two years before starting at Geisel was the best experience yet - and now I consider myself a native! In my free time, I love to play soccer, ski, and spend time with my family and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hi, I\u2019m Dan! I\u2019m currently a third year at Geisel. I started medical school with the Class of 2027, but I plan on completing the MD-MBA program and graduating with the Class of 2028. I\u2019m originally from Mahwah, New Jersey. I spent five years in Boston before medical school completing a B.S. in Cell & Molecular Biology at Northeastern University. During my time in Boston, I worked as a research assistant at Harvard Medical School and a patient care technician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. I also played on the NU Men\u2019s Club Soccer team. In my free time, I often came up to New Hampshire and Vermont for skiing and hiking. Since moving to the Upper Valley, I\u2019ve continued enjoying outdoor activities, including pickup soccer with the Geisel Soccer Club and new hobbies like ski touring and cross-country skiing. I\u2019m looking forward to serving as a Co-Chair of Professional Development to help grow ongoing programs and develop new ways to help my peers reach their goals!<\/div>\n

My name is Corbin Dameron and I am so excited to be joining Helen as co-Chair of Academics.\u00a0I am from Charlottesville, Virginia and attended Middlebury College where I studied neuroscience. Before coming to Geisel, I moved a lot, climbed some mountains, worked as a scribe in medical oncology, volunteered at needle exchanges, and did a post-bacc and some research in addition to various very odd jobs. I have been an MEC rep for the past two years, president of PrideMD for the past year, Schweitzer Fellow with Healing Harvest, and co-coordinator of Big\/Little sib pairings. I am passionate about medical education and hope to one day teach medical students! I love playing ultimate frisbee with my new ACL (shout out to Dr. Ames), swimming in lakes, biking, and reading.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hello! My name is Helen Thomason and I am excited to be joining Corbin this year as a co-Chair of Academics. I grew-up outside of Chicago and graduated from Scripps College. Prior to medical school, I worked at a start-up in San Francisco, taught cello lessons, and coached water polo. During my time at Geisel, I have been involved with medical education work because I see it as a way of supporting my peers. This year, I look forward to amplifying student ideas for medical education reform. When not at the hospital, you can find me taking a walk around Lake Morey, cross-country skiing at the Green Woodlands, or sharing a meal with friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eric Wang<\/h3>\n

Hi everyone! My name is Eric Wang, and I have the utmost pleasure of serving as one of your Co-Chairs of Diversity and Inclusion for the 2025-2026 school year. I grew up in Westchester County, NY before moving to NYC, where I attended the College of Arts and Science (CAS) at New York University, having graduated in 2021 with a BA in Biochemistry and a Minor in Mathematics. After graduating,\u00a0I pursued a MS in Human Nutrition at Columbia University, receiving my degree in 2022, and worked as an education assistant and clinical research coordinator at Columbia and Mount Sinai Morningside, respectively. During that same timeframe, I also helped found what would eventually become the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Cultural Heritage and Identity through Food And Nutrition (CHIFAN), which focuses on delivering culturally relevant nutrition education to NYC youth. Currently, I am an MS3 with a specialty interest in dermatology. Outside my academic work, my hobbies include dance, fashion, skincare, K-pop, and watching anime. Most importantly, however, I am a major foodie!<\/span><\/p>\n

Hi, my name is Stephanie Lebby, and I could not be more excited to serve as a Co-Chair of Wellness this year! I am from Big Bear Lake, California, and attended Dartmouth College, where I was a member of the Alpine Ski Team and fell in love with the Upper Valley. Before starting medical school at Geisel, I completed a Master\u2019s in Physical Activity and Wellness Science at the University of Vermont, where I learned about the connection between the mind and body and the effects of lifestyle on health. I later transitioned into a role as a research coordinator for the Weight & Wellness Center and Culinary Medicine Program at DHMC. In my free time I enjoy anything that gets me moving such as skiing, biking, hiking, running, and surfing. I hope to continue my passion for wellness by fostering a sense of community for my classmates, creating events that bring us together, and bringing small moments of joy into our busy schedules.<\/p>\n

Hi, I\u2019m Taylor Cooper! I grew up in a few different states, but my family and I have called Colorado home for the last 10+ years. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019, where I studied public health and chemistry. I also played on the Penn Women\u2019s Volleyball team, where I served as a team captain and am now a board member! Before starting at Geisel, I worked for a large renal care company as a senior strategy and operations analyst. I am a member of Geisel\u2019s Urban Health Scholars, SNMA, and co-lead a project called Race.Culture.Obgyn! In my spare time, you can probably find me running, hiking, practicing yoga, or listening to podcasts.
