Armin Tavakkoli, an MD-PhD student, received an\u00a0RSNA Research Medical Student Grant<\/a>\u00a0for his proposal titled, \"Evaluating the Therapeutic Potential of FLASH Irradiation in Brain Tumor Treatment.\"\u00a0His primary research mentor\u00a0is Dr. Jack Hoopes. His faculty and career development mentor\u00a0CR Thomas, Jr., MD<\/a>. Armin has previously received the 2022 AOA Carolyn L. Kuckein Student Research Fellowship. Drew Bergman<\/a>\u00a0(MED24) will present original research from the\u00a0Pointer Lab<\/a>, titled \"Ki-67 and OLIG2 as Prognostic Markers in Patients with Glioblastoma,\" at the combined meeting of the\u00a0International Congress for Radiation Research<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Radiation Research Society<\/a>, August 27 to 30, 2023 in Montreal, Canada.\u00a0Mr. Bergman<\/a>\u00a0was a recipient of a 2022 RSNA Research Medical Student Award.<\/p>\n
