The Department of Radiation Oncology is proud to announce that Dr. Joseph Weygand has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Global Health Faculty Award from the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO), part of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).
The official notification letter commended Dr. Weygand for his “hard work and relentless pursuit to improve health equity worldwide.” Notably, he is the only medical physicist to receive this honor.
The recognition reflects the unparalleled global outreach and impact of the Weygand Lab, whose work continues to advance health equity across international communities.
Dr. Weygand will be formally honored at the ARRO annual meeting in San Francisco on September 27, 2025.
