My research interests are: in utilizing data science and machine learning techniques for mental and/or behavioral healthcare. Specifically, I am interested in digital therapeutics and in providing healthcare solutions through widely accessible digital platforms. I hope to work in uncovering preventative, diagnostic, and treatment solutions within the vast amounts of psychiatric and other medical data that is quickly accumulating and ensuring widespread accessibility.
Career track: Industry
My career goals are: To join a company or research organization that focuses on employing data science and machine learning skills for healthcare. I am particularly interested in this to the end of healthcare regulation and/or policy, which I also hope to gain experience in.
I have technical expertise in: R, Python, Java, SQL, Matlab, ImageJ, application system development and production, scrum/agile methodology
I chose QBS because: of its interdisciplinary nature, leading to more opportunities for collaboration with many different types of medical /clinical professionals! I also greatly appreciate the warm and inclusive culture cultivated by the QBS community and the importance placed on work/life balance.
