Geisel Faculty Affairs Faculty Development at Geisel<\/p>\n

Faculty Development at Geisel comprises Faculty Development Workshops, the Knowledge@Noon series of workshops, Mentoring and Coaching<\/a> and financial support for our faculty seeking development opportunities outside of Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Health.<\/p>\n

Faculty Development Workshops<\/strong>
\nFaculty Development Workshops are held monthly. Topics are gathered from a variety of sources, including the annual survey of all faculty. Workshops are advertised 4 weeks in advance and registration is required. Workshops are recorded and posted, and require sign in with your NetID to view. The Knowledge @ Noon series of workshops are hour long lunch and learn sessions which are also recorded and posted for viewing<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>A collaborative group that support and promote the collegial spirit of the Geisel Community<\/p>\n

Mission
\nThe Geisel Women in Medicine and Science group is dedicated to empowering and inspiring women to thrive in medicine and science through mentorship, advocacy, and collaboration.<\/p>\n

Goals
\nUsing internal and external expertise and networking, we will support women to thrive as leaders, innovators, and role models in medicine, research, and healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n

Additional Faculty Development Resources

Faculty Affairs is pleased to support participation and funding in selective\u00a0External Faculty Development Opportunities<\/u>.<\/a><\/p>\n

Faculty must meet the following criteria for sponsorship eligibility:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Have a Geisel faculty appointment (full-time, 1.0 FTE)<\/li>\n
  2. Appointed at Geisel for at least six months.<\/li>\n
  3. Must be submitted at least 30 days in advance of program application.<\/li>\n
  4. The department chair must approve and sign the form.<\/li>\n
  5. Submission of the form does not result in automatic approval.\u00a0 It must be reviewed by the Office of Faculty Affairs.<\/li>\n
  6. Faculty receiving funding will be supported once per three-year cycle, per department.<\/li>\n
  7. Approval of travel support and amount provided is dependent on availability of funds.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Please note that support is based on the availability of funds.<\/p>\n
