Restorative Justice

Restorative Justice (RJ) was introduced at Dartmouth College in 2015 within the Division of Student Affairs (SA) who sent one member of the Committee on Standards & Accountability Office (CSA) to attend the Restorative Justice Program at Skidmore. Dartmouth soon thereafter adopted RJ practices within CSA and has subsequently arranged workshops on campus at Dartmouth that have trained 40 SA professionals (2016, 2017). In 2017, Dr. Leslie Henderson, former Dean of Faculty Affairs, established a task force at Geisel to develop programs with the multi-pronged purpose of faculty/staff leadership development and enhancement of culture and climate within the medical school community.
