{"id":68,"date":"2020-11-09T09:45:15","date_gmt":"2020-11-09T14:45:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/nhinbre\/?page_id=68"},"modified":"2025-11-17T09:38:48","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T14:38:48","slug":"research-projects","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/nhinbre\/research-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"threecol-two\">\n<h2>Research supported by NH-INBRE<\/h2>\n<p>All of the NH-INBRE Goals are strongly supported by the Developmental Research Projects Program (DRPP), which funds competitive cutting-edge biomedical research proposed and led by faculty at Partner institutions that enables intense engagement by both students and faculty at Partners.<br \/>\nNH-INBRE funding establishes research programs that successfully compete for other funding sources as the research develops.<\/p>\n<h3>Research projects are of three types:<\/h3>\n<p>(1) Research Projects require a 50% effort commitment from the faculty principal investigator.<br \/>\n(2) Pilot Projects require a 25% effort commitment from the faculty principal investigator.<br \/>\n(3) Collaborative Projects are Research or Pilot Projects that include a collaborating faculty member from Dartmouth or UNH.<\/p>\n<h3>Alternative Funding Mechanisms:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>(1) Seed Grant:<\/strong> to provide 1-year of funding (potentially renewable) to test new research idea(s) \u2013 entirely original areas of investigation for the investigator or a substantially new extension of previous work. No salary support.<br \/>\n<strong>(2) Targeted Incentive Grant: <\/strong>to expedite submission of-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manuscripts (especially data driven; reviews will be considered; however not
