She is a first year medical student at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine with an anticipated graduation in 2026. She hopes to specialize in dermatology. During her undergraduate education she did INBRE funded research with Dr. Jason Pellettieri. She took four years off before matriculating into medical school. She graduated Summa Cum Laude, earning a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, in May 2017. After graduation, she was employed as a laboratory research technician in the Proteomics Lab for the Vermont Biomedical Research Network at UVM. She matriculated to The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont (LCOM) in August 2019. While at LCOM, Catrina has been an active member of the Pediatrics Student Interest Group while also serving as a Student Ambassador for Admissions and as Peer Tutor. She has remained involved in academic research, though has transitioned away from bench research to focus more on public health and quality improvement oriented projects. Aligned with these interests, she completed a funded summer research project with the Vermont Child Health Improvement Program (VCHIP) evaluating outcomes of opioid-exposed newborns. She graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2019 with a major in biology and minor in chemistry. She did undergraduate research with the NH-INBRE program and ISURF program at Dartmouth. She took a gap year and worked as an EMT and Emergency Department Technician while she applied to medical school in 2020. She then joined the MD-PhD program at Geisel of School of Medicine at Dartmouth and is currently in her fourth year. She attended New England College in New Hampshire and graduated in 2021 with a degree in Health Sciences, and a minor in Chemistry. She worked as a Clinical Nursing Assistant for 6 years, most notably in the emergency room and in the Solid Organ Transplant Unit at Boston Children's Hospital, and went on a medical service trip to Guatemala. She is very excited about this program, as she is a first generation medical student, and the first person from her high school to be accepted into medical school. His major was in chemistry with concentrations in biomolecular science and statistics. He joined the MD-PhD program at the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine and is currently in the graduate school portion of the program. He conducts his research in Diane Gilbert-Diamond\u2019s lab, where he uses genomic and clinical data to address questions about causes of and interventions for obesity.
