The theme for this year's National Conference is\u00a0Violence against Difference<\/b>, specifically looking at\u00a0racial violence, gender violence, and violence against healthcare workers<\/b>. We believe it is crucial to learn more about the underlying causes behind these forms of violence. The topics will be examined through the lens of structural violence, and we will examine how constructs of difference have fueled many recent human rights violations. We will hope to increase our understanding for not only why these violent acts occur but also how to prevent them in the future.<\/p>\n
