Geisel medical students and faculty help keep the Good Neighbor Health Clinic running, enabling local residents to obtain primary care.
During their first week of student orientation, Dartmouth medical students participate in Valley Quest, a day of community service which brings groups of students to the various agencies within the local community that provide services for uninsured and underserved populations. The experience exposes students to not only the healthcare problems that their local patient populations encounter, but also to the everyday challenges that many of those same patients face.
