APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED
Dartmouth SYNERGY Clinical and Translational Science Institute announces a new educational opportunity to commence in September of 2016. Applications are open now. The Advanced Certificate in Clinical and Translational Research builds research focus among learners from diverse disciplines by developing the core competencies required to achieve successful careers in clinical and translational research.
SYNERGY’s Advanced Certificate in Clinical and Translational Research is designed to meet the career development needs of researchers seeking an understanding of core competencies in clinical and translational research. The program is centered on helping students convert original research ideas into IRB-approved protocols that can be submitted for grant funding. Using a blend of didactic and small-group tutorials, learners will develop skills in areas critical to their development as independent researchers, including:
- Biomedical informatics
- Clinical trial design
- Regulatory affairs
- Data analysis
- Research ethics
- Data safety and monitoring
- Community engagement
The time commitment includes weekly meetings, currently scheduled for Wednesdays from 4:00pm – 6:00 pm, from September 21, 2016 through March 29, 2017. Learners should plan on devoting a minimum of another 4 – 6 hours per week to complete the program.
